I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right forum so I apologize in advice but I would like some advice. After reading the threads on how hard it is to find jobs after graduating, I have decided to look for a CNA job to get my foot in the door. So far, I only found one job that is per diem, which is perfect for me. My question is, should I include in my resume that I'm attending nursing school? I don't know if hiring managers will use that information against me and won't even consider me since they know I won't be there there long term. Thanks in advance!
How would they know (or you for that matter) that you won't be there long term? Maybe they hire RN's as well and would love the opportunity to "test drive" your skills and attitude in a CNA position to consider you as an RN once your licensed.
I told my job I was applying to nursing schools but I'm not in a school yet, but that point seemed to make me a top canidate and I got the job as a CNA as long as you tell them your availability up front
