Workers Comp Case

Published

Hi everyone!!

I just graduated with my BSN from an RN to BSN program and I have a worry that I bet you can help with. During my program I worked as a barista at Starbucks and I slipped + fell as I was working, and I broke my foot. It was a workers comp case that went from October 2023 to May 2024. Will having a WC insurance claim in my background ever hinder me from getting a job? I've been interviewing all Summer but no luck as of yet but I had a promising one the other day so I am getting nervous. I'm doing okay now, no restrictions or anything crazy thank the lord haha. I just really hope this situation doesn't somehow come back to haunt me someday... I'm embarrassed enough as is 😬🫣

No, this is not something discussed in the interview process.

It may come up during your pre-employment physical, but even then it may not even come up.

I would have no idea as a hiring manager if you have a worker's comp case from a previous employer. As long as you're physically able to do the job, that's all that matters.
