work license pending in nj?

U.S.A. New Jersey

Published

Hi everyone, I just took my nclex RN and found out today that I passed! I want to start applying for jobs asap. I was wondering if i could put 'liscence pending, Nclex passed" on my applications? Or would it be better to wait until I get my license? Also in NJ can you practice witha pending licence? I have so many questions! Any info would be appreciated:)

First of all congrats!!! you made it!!.. i put NJ Registered Nurse License (Pending)...

but in Jersey i think you have to have your license to practice. You have to go to NJ Board of nursing and download the paperwork for license.. here is the link..

what you have to do is on the application link.. you have to go to pearsonvue and ask them to send your passing status to the NJ BON.. im not sure what i did..

Thank you! I have already applied for my license but in NJ it takes about a month for the Board to send you your license in the mail and to post the license # online...i wasn't sure if I should wait untill then before i begin to apply for jobs.

ok cool.. yeah its bout month... but i think i had pending on my resume for the NJ license.. and still applied to jobs.. but i think you should wait... because they might put you down at bottom of list and pick people who do have a license.. so idk

Thats true.. maybe it is best that i wait...there is so few full time jobs available in my area and I do not want to get put on the bottom on the list...Thanks a lot for the advice!!!!:):) It is very much apreciated:)
