Work in Aus with Irish international bachelor degree

Published

Hi all,

Anyone knows about being a nurse in Aus with an Irish bachelor nursing degree ?

which is for an international student and now im applying to study at college there.

and my plan is working in Aus later on because I have a diploma enrolled nursing degree in Aus back in the years but IELTS was not enough higher than the requirement. so I couldn't work right away after graduate and now studying more and getting bachelor degree are I believe that as a good decision.

1. Is nursing bachelor degree important in Australia although Irish one ?

2. Once I'm registered as an Australian enrolled nurse during the irish bachelor course,

am I eligible to work in Aus after graduate ?

3. I can't work although the course is bachelor because am not registered yet. so is there any good way to get nursing experience which is acceptable in other country ? as what position could you recommend me then ?

Thanks for reading.

I'm an irish nurse with a bachelor of nursing from Ireland and I had no issue with registration in Australia. However all my studies were through English.

I am struggling to follow your train of thought.

From what I can interpret you are asking if having a BSc is required for registration with AHPRA? I am pretty sure it is. No if you want to work as an RN you will need to register with AHPRA you cannot just roll your registration over from enrollment. Try and get a job as an Assistant in Nursing.
