I think "This Land is Your Land" is a wonderful patriotic song.
How come schools in Oklahoma don't teach about him? Or am I wrong and they do?

I was going over your question about woody guthrie. He isn't taught in school because he was a staunch socialist and blackballed from most music stations here. He had a horrible reputation here. I love his music and agree with your thoughts about him and his music was tops with me
I have read "Grapes of Wrath probably 4 times and watched the movie twice that amount.
I lived in California for a while in my youth and the folks from cali would call me Okie and it was meant to be an insult. When I said thank you they couldn't understand
