Hi All!
I would like any honest feedback regarding what it's like working at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Staffing/morale/patient ratios, etc. Particularly in their Emergency Department if possible. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I would specifically try the NY forum. Best of luck!

Hi Birdsofprey,
I am a former employee and I have to say it’s a very challenging environment. The patients, staff & management. Practically all city hospitals are short staffed. This one is no different. Extremely short staffing high turn over. In 3 years 70% of employees; PCAs, RNs, Docs were gone. On a busy day in the ER you could have 12-16 patients without a PCA to assist you with V/S, blood draws, changing and cleaning patients etc. Good place to learn get your dents and scrapes then move on. It’s doable once you get your momentum. But you do need to move on eventually if you want to grow and gain more knowledge as a nurse. Hope this helps and best of luck ?.
