Concordia RN to BSN?

U.S.A. Wisconsin

Published

I just finished my ADN and am looking to finish my BSN. Does anyone have any info on this school, good or bad? Looks like they have an articulation agreement with WTCS so they accept more transfer credits than other schools in the area. Thanks for any help:)

I can tell you I was not pleased with UWM ADN-BSN, although it was pretty easy and online. The classes were identical to WWTC/MATC, so just a recycle. UWM is cheaper though, another plus. I am looking at Concordia for my MS, I have heard only good things.

UWM is cheaper than what? When you say "easy" what does that mean? Were there a lot of papers? Concordia is around $375 per credit and looks like a lot of pre-reqs would be met by my ADN and RN license. Only thing is they say you have to have a job as an RN. I just graduated and do not have a job yet, allthough I do have my license. Does UWM require you have a job as an RN? Thanks for all your help. UWM's BSN@home was another program I was looking into.

I did the @home online. Typically, UW is cheaper than private. I had a few new grads in my classes without jobs. By easy, I mean super easy. For example, at WWTC I had to write a windshield paper for community, same paper for UWM. Pharm was writing a paper on a case presented. If you want to enrich your education, UWM or any of the @home, are repeats of all your WWTC work. All of my classes transfered in, the UW schools have an agreement with the WI tech colleges. Too bad you can't find employment, my job paid for all my BSN courses....over 5 years:) Slow, but free this way! Good luck!
