Hello, and congrats to all the May graduates and NCLEX passers! yay! I was wondering if anyone knew what the starting salry for new grads was at Winthrop hospital in mineola? thanks in advance!

Do they send you right away to the Nurse Manager after the initial interview with the Nurse Recruiter? I interviewed with the Nurse Recruiter yesterday and I was told next week I will be meeting with a Nurse Manager. So I don't know =/

Hi Salt RN,

I was recently interviewed also, and was told the same thing that the nurse manager will contact me in a week. Did they contact you within a week and how did it go?

I was offered a Tele position at North Shore so I took it. I interviewed with HR and haven't heard back.

Congratulations!!!! Did you ever follow up with HR from Winthrop at all being that you didn't hear from them? Or were you offered a job at north lij within that same time period that it was ok that you didn't hear from them?? Thanks for your response!

congratulations on landing a job at a hospital! i have been searching since i got my rn license 5 months ago and nothing yet. i was offered a school nurse position in nyc but the pay was way to low, and from what i understand school nursing does not provide relevant work experience for hospitals.

any tips on how to apply to land an interview? i have applied to several positions at north shore and all i get are the rejection emails. :-(

I was just hired to one of those 3 units that you mentioned not to go to. Can you tell me about your experience there? I am a fairly new graduate nurse (other than the 5 months of NICU experience I have) and seeing your comment makes me think that I may get eaten alive on the unit. This would be so helpful to me, Thanks Sammi!
