Winter Nursing Students- where are you?

hey!!!! where are all the nursing students that start in winter? my program will begin december 2, 2009! yey!!!

i am so glad that i am done working on my pre-reqs! this summer session i took 3 fifteen week classes that were crammed into 4 weeks- my brain was fried!

i thought i would start a thread so we can all congratulate and hear about each others programs and goals.

family: i have 3 boys- a 6 yr old, 2 yr old and 1 yr old :hpygrp:

school: kaplan college

program attending: advanced lpn course

what will your schedule be: m-f 8-5:30

what are you goals after you finish the program: i only have 2 more pre-reqs left for the rn program here at our community college. but since i have small kids and i take care of my elderly mother, i decided to get my lpn and wait until all 3 of my boys are in full time elementary school- (1 down 2 to go) lol. then i will work on my associates degree. :redbeathe

do you have current health care experience: i am currently a cna and work with hospice patients. i formally took care of my father who had es prostate cancer.

what will your schedule be: i'm not even sure! i know the classes are m-f but not all day or 5 days a week.

what are you goals after you finish the program: i'm going to go on, after i get some of my loans paid off, i really want to become a np for womens health.

do you have current health care experience: i have my cna1 and cna2 andf am trying to get a job right now in a hospital before i head north for ns! also my mother is a diabetic so i have some knowledge in that area
