Be prepared for a very tough job market. Boston is one of the most difficult markets for novice RNs in the country. Be prepared to consider skilled nursing and LTAC facilities in the metro/suburban communities to gain experience before you can be considered for a major academic center job.
Wishing you luck.
The only formal new grad residencies in the area I believe are fall start and go on a year by year basis as to whether they run. MGH is running one this year but hasn't in the last few.
If you can network before or when you get here, that may help also. There are a LOT of programs in the area (including several with a winter end) that have students on clinicals etc so they already have a foot in the door, so to speak.
good luck!!

I am graduating from an Accelerated BSN program in December and I'm hoping to move to Boston. Does anyone know of programs for new nurses that start in the winter? I've only seen residencies that begin in the fall.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)
