Hi all!
I wanted to make this group for anyone applying for the William Paterson University accelerated nursing program that starts in 2020.
I haven't heard much about it and would love if anyone could share anything they know!

Following this thread because I was recently accepted and would like to learn more about it as well!
Hi! Are you going to the information session this month?
If you're talking about the orientation thing on November 19th then yes! Unless there is another info session you're referring to
Yes that's the one! I haven't paid the deposit yet bc I'm worried about this being such a new program. Are you definitely attending?
I haven't paid the deposit yet either but I'm about 85% positive that this is the BSN program I'll end up committing to for now. Mostly because I'm waiting to hear back from direct entry MSN programs that won't give me an answer until late January mid-February. Since WP is the only BSN program I applied to that does not begin clinicals in Spring 2020, I figured it would be the easiest one to bow out of if I happen to get accepted to a direct entry MSN program. But if I did not get accepted to an MSN program, I assumed WP was still a good option for BSN. Not to mention its also the cheapest option.
But also, I'm also a bit concerned how little I could find out about the history of this program - how new is it exactly?? and if there is anything else you know about the program I would be super appreciative if you shared : )
Yes so as far as I know, this program is in its first year right now. The regular 4yr program had a 100% nclex pass rate, and the accelerated program has all the same classes and amount of clinical hours as them. That is why I feel safe giving a deposit and attending if my first choice does not accept me. And yes definitely agree that the price is a huge plus!

I was accepted. What I found out is that the cohort only accepted 18 for Spring. The tuition is out of state (for non NJ) until fall then goes to In State Tuition price for everyone so Summer would be out of state and the rest of the semesters in state tuition which is GREAT. The last class had 100% pass rate as you said and the previous few in the high 90s. The first Accelerated Cohort is not finished yet so no data.

Hello, how many letters of recommendation are needed, also do we need personal statements and are we require to take an entrance exam?

I’m currently thinking about enrolling. Have you started ? RN-BSN
Thinking about Ron- BSN online at William Paterson. Anyone else ? Or anyone who has completed the program?
