Published

Hello guys,

I am taking my NCLEX tomorrow December 30, 2015 and I really feel unprepared. I admit I luck the preparation since i am working, and its hard to balance work from studying. I graduated 5 years ago (I am a graduate nurse from the Philippines and local RN)

, so I really really feel down on my exam tomorrow. I hope I can pass, any advice guys? How can I enhance my study habits and improve my learning retention (in preparation for my retake just in case) I didnt enrol in any review course online (due to my work)but i did use saunders and kaplan (software) for my review at home. But i still feel very unprepared, its like i still need to read a lot of books and review all the concepts in nursing school. But still im hoping I can make it tommorow since I really want to be a RN. I will let you know if make it and if not. Thank You

I think u are already done with questions if u want uworld is offering 1 week free trial you can do that the offer expires on 31 december.

u can do at least fundamentals infection question may be more.

GOOD LUCK

Hi, I failed the NCLEX twice with 265 questions. I passed on my third time with 75 questions. I tried ATI and the NCSBN review but I did not like them. It was hard to focus on the NCSBN because honestly it is terribly boring. If you don't want to spend a lot of money try UWorld because it has some of the best questions and rationales. I also used Hurst online review and for me it was perfect. They have lectures that you watch and take notes to and they are great! It is easy to understand and they are entertaining. You can go at your own pace and their printouts are really great. They give you great NCLEX tips throughout the program. I loved Hurst because it refreshes the CORE content that you need to know to pass. It made me confident because I felt I was prepared after it. Hurst/UWorld was a great combo for me. Good luck!

Congrats on passing the NCLEX I would like to know how was your experienced with UWORLD? And how long did you prepare for NCLEX?

After failing twice, I took some time to just gather myself because I felt pretty terrible. I enrolled in Hurst and UWorld and studied hard for about 2 weeks. I've had classmates pass by just using UWorld, but I highly recommend Hurst as well. UWorld has A LOT of great hard questions and their rationales are some of the best that I've seen. You can do it on your computer, or if you have a smartphone they have an app as well. It's not that expensive either. Their rationales are really detailed and if you carefully read and study them you will pass.

Does UWorld work for PN as well?

I took the PN exam 8/2015 didn't pass, stopped at 85qts. I used Kaplan reveiw (online), also went to the class on wkend. I really thought I was prepared and ready to pass on the first try. Now I'm gonna go for another try. I just trying to figure out what I need to do different this time around. Should I use another program to study? I've seen so many books/online things, and I know different things work for different ppl. I bought Kaplan Review, because I heard it was one of the best. Maybe it wasn't me studying enough, not sure. Can anyone help me out, I'm really ready to pass this test second time around. Thanks n' advance!!
