Will I get accepted into nursing school

Published

I'm attending college for a Registered Nurse. I'm taking my pre-reqs. I have a hard time learning Algebra, so I had to repeat the class twice. The Algebra instructor which is my advisor, doesn't like me; he told me that I'm most likely not going to get accepted into the nursing program. What will happene if I don't get accepted? I don't want to change my major. I don't feel content doing anything else but helping save lives. I'm working hard to pass all my courses. Sometimes, I may not know all the answers, but I give it my best shot. When I get a question wrong, I go back and examine what I did wrong so I know not to make that mistake again. I know I can do it, I just have to push myself to my full potential. I need a better study habit, any help please?

If you really want to be a nurse, then dont give up. There are plenty of colleges out there that will except everyone (however for some, the waiting list is pretty long). If you dont get into nursing school, then you could always become an LPN. The good thing is, there really isnt much math in nursing. It is mostly conversions and simple formulas.

Apply to a different college! Don't stay somewhere where you feel unwelcome...most community colleges will offer a nursing degree, for example.

If you have tutoring sessions in your school, make use of them!

I would switch advisors. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. I would try to utilize Khan Academy because they do a great job explaining things and I would find a tutor that isn't that teacher.
