Hi,
My name is Hannah.
I'm starting the PMHNP program at Wilkes this Fall 2021 (BSN to MSN track). I don't have facebook and would love to create a forum for students in this cohort to share information, ask questions, and help one another succeed. Feel free to join - just reply and say hi!
Looking forward!
Hi there, I’m enrolled in the fall cohort. I was very disappointed to see the lack of engagement with the instructors. The study guide for first quiz in advanced patho was not all inclusive. So far I’m not at all impressed. It seems they want you to pay them to teach yourself from a book. Then memorize everything in the assigned readings( which is impossible). Considering another school at this point. Are you still enrolled at Wilkes? I just dropped- have been having an extremely negative experience at Wilkes.
Hi I would to know more about the program for those already in it. I applied for the fall PMHNP program and got accepted but am trying to decide between other programs. Do they really ensure clinical placement? How are the classes like? Are Professors easily accessible? What does each class comprise of, quizzes, exams, discussion board? Are the exams proctored for each class also? Thanks and hoping to hear from someone.
They don’t ensure clinical placement, they look around for you but there’s no guarantee they’ll find one so many people have to find their own. I’m in my third term so I haven’t had that many classes but so far majority are self-taught I’ve had no lectures unfortunately. Some professors are easier than others to contact via email, but most respond eventually. Discussion boards are part of every class usually once a week post with a second post response to classmate. Quizzes and exams are common especially in classes like pharmacology. Whereas papers or presentations are more common in classes like nursing theory. All exams are proctored online and cost $15 each time.

Hi thank you so much for responding. Do you like the program so far or wished you attended a different one?
