Why do parents keep sending kids to school with meds !

Why do parents keep sending kids to school with meds with no doctors orders, no notes, or prescription labels ?!

This happed twice this week ! A parent sent an inhaler in pre-k students back pack and a fifth grader comes to school with anti-biotics !

What part of DANGEROUS don't these parents understand ? What if the meds get lost and another student ingest the medication and get an allergic reaction ?

No they don't think about that !

I had a parent get nasty yesterday because she had sent a completed medication authorization form to school but no meds. When the student needed the meds, none were available-DUH! Why is this my fault!?!

I had a parent get nasty yesterday because she had sent a completed medication authorization form to school but no meds. When the student needed the meds, none were available-DUH! Why is this my fault!?!

Have had that many times myself. I've had doctors orders for the whole school year without meds before and when the parent came to pick up their childs meds, I said: none are here you never bought it in. She got an attitude but couldn't say anything when I showed her the medication recieving record that was blank for her child ! Thank God for great documenting.
