Why do nurses get Masters in Public Administration degrees?

Any nurses out there with there MPAs? If so, why did you get it and where are you working now? Thanks! t.

I looked strongly at a MPA for a while. I thought it could lead to working at a high level in the city with the health department and other projects the city does with healthcare. After watching my city council on TV for several months and really looking at some of the issues dealing with government and the public and health, I decided it would probably be a headache and have lots of politics attached to it that I just didn't want to deal with. So I shelved it in favor of a straight MSN.
