I chosen nursing as my profession as I have a lot of experiences in which I had to care for people such as my nanny and my two down syndrome uncles. I always loved caring for them and from a very young age I always wanted to be a nurse. Nursing is a very hard job and challenging at times but I feel I am ready for it and have the characteristics of a nurse. I am currently doing a pre nursing course which I am enjoying and I feel its the right career choice for me.

Nursing is a career that best suits me, I have always loved to care for and help people, I am currently in my first year of a pre-nursing programme, I am really enjoying the course although there is a lot of work that needs to be done whilst studying to be a nurse. But in saying that I am still really happy with my course choice. There are many reasons why you should become a nurse, if you feel that you are an empathetic and caring person this job is for you. Also, as a nurse you get the opportunity to interact with patients, medical staff, doctors and administrators every day. This gives you the opportunity to learn from other careers and add to your knowledge base, while sharpening your interpersonal skills.

To be become a nurse, you must have an interest in helping others. With me, My personality has it all. My good skills for example communication, problem solving, etc helps me. Also nursing is easy for me since i have a lot of experience with my grandmother who is aged almost 80 and currently working in a nursing home. an It's a very nice career to have. Many advantages to it. Nursing has many settings, example hospitals, nursing homes and patients homes. Travelling is also good when it comes to being a nurse. It's a long lasting job, and a nurse is always needed. During my years of studying to become a nurse, you learn a lot about yourself and others around you. But also take on responsibilities which play a huge part in nursing. Good luck Brendan!

I am a caring person its my inner ago.I enjoy helping people in general and believe that I shall be a good nurse. When I see a person in need of help I never stumble to assist him/her any possible way I can.I don't think that nursing is an easy job, indeed its difficult with long hours of work, dealing with different personalities and their needs. But it has its benefits, you are in a learning process all your life, no matter how long you have been working as nurse.so if you think you are strong enough to deal with labour intensive job (that includes cleaning up other peoples vomit etc...)then go ahead, you are at right path.

Nursing is a career I have always been interested in, partially because there are so many nurses in my family, their interest and passion in their careers lead me in the same direction. I always felt I had the skills needed for nursing both mentally and physically. I like knowing that ill be able to care for people in a stressful and fragile time in there life's and being able to help them on the road to recovery. I love the fact the nursing is such a vast career choice and you can branch of from nurses in so many ways. At the moment I am in my first year of introduction to nursing studies and hope to go on next year to general nursing.

I have wanted to be a nurse since I was a child, it is the only job I can see myself enjoying. I feel good in myself knowing I am helping somebody. It is very hard work but it is highly rewarding. I know what it is like to be a patient from when I was a child so I can relate to a patient. If you want to be a nurse give it a shot or you will always regret not trying.

I would love to become a nurse as it is a career I have always seen myself doing, my nanna and all my ancestors have always been in the nursing career but that's not why I wanted to do it, I love the feeling you get from helping people and i love making people smile and laugh. When my nanna got sick last August I looked after her everyday, I got up early throughout my summer holidays and went into the matter hospital and fed her and spoke to her about everything, unfortunately she took a stroke so she lost her speech so could could not speak back to me she was 92 when she took the major stroke and passed away 31 days later after taking it and through them stressful and emotional times I loved looking after her and helping the nurses i really realized that that was the career in which i wanted to pursue. When she passed away the nurses were ever so helpful and kind and really showed me what they went through and had to do for the families I knew straight away that i wanted to do this also, but I will admit that my nanna was my inspiration in life and the fact that she was an amazing nurse also made me interested in the career.

I always wanted to become a nurse, however the only aspect of the job that threw me off was the long hours required so instead I began a career in early childhood education. However two years into my course and all I could think about was how much I still wanted to work in a hospital and care for people on a daily basis. I knew that it was the right career for me. So I began a college degree in Nursing. Nursing is a career that involves a lot of dedication and commitment, and sometimes heartbreak. I think that if you really care for helping people and making them feel good, are a good communicator and can work well under pressure then nursing is definitely for you. It is known as one of the most rewarding careers and you will be welcomed into a job anywhere in the world. Goodluck

I chose the nursing profession because I've always been told I have a caring way about me. I cant really remember when I decided I wanted to be a nurse but I knew from the age of at least 7. Nursing is a very rewarding profession, I would love to put my time and effort into helping people and helping them at the start of a diagnosis, throughout an illness or even something non complex. I have experience with helping people because my Granda was very ill in hospital for 5 months. Nursing isn't easy but it is worth it.

I should become a nurse because I feel my traits and personality suits this profession. I love caring for people and communicating with them on a daily basis, I also would love to make an impact on someones live by become a nurse. I want to become a nurse because I want to feel a sense of achievement in my profession, I should become a nurse as I have a lot of empathy and compassion, I am also extremely interested in nursing.:cat:
