I am setting up my business to allow me to contract directly with area hospitals who are using a lot of agency nurses. I am currently working on developing the actual contract, so that I will have everything in order when I approach the nurse manager. The idea is to offer a lower hourly rate than the agency (which should be pretty easy). So, I haven't had a contract yet, but know a couple of nurses who have. Some of the small rural hospitals are real need of specialty area nurses, so I feel pretty confident.

I am also preparing myself to start doing some legal nurse consulting. I am studying Vickie Milazzo tapes and the textbooks from the AALNC.

So far, the contract has been, for me, the most difficult. I did receive a copy of one that a nurse was kind enough to share with me, but I would like to look at a few more for comparison. And then I will have an atty review it.
