I have a question Can anyone tell me why bile is green? They told us everything else about bile except that. I have a test coming up and our prof told us that'd be a question he'd ask.
Bile is normally yellowish-green caused by bilirubin.

because the biliverdin is green which bile is made up of. (check this out though because it has been awhile.)
Actually your rationale is much better than mine, SMK1.
Biliverdin is formed from bilirubin by oxidation.
Great job!!!

Bile consists primarily of water, cholesterol, lecithin, inorganic salts, bile salts and bile pigments. The bile salts are comprised of cholesterol derived acids which are synthesized in the liver. The bile pigments are hemoglobin metabolites. The two major bile pigments are biliverdin and bilirubin. Siri and SMK1 are actually both correct.
