Why won't anyone hire new grads?

U.S.A. Nevada

I find myself sooooo frustrated right now. All this hard work to get through school, graduate, pass boards, and now no one want to hire a new grad. Does anyone know if any hospitals hiring new grads right now?

If not, when do they usually start hiring them?

I'm just afraid at this rate that I'll have forgotten everything I've learned before I ever get my foot in the door. :uhoh21:

Spongebob6286, I appreciate all of your verbal support during this time. It is so easy to lose hope in this occupationally destitute environment. I am happy to say that I did receive an offer from St. Rose today for their Versant program (which I ecstatically accepted!!). There truly is a reason to maintain optimism in an otherwise pessimistic economy!

NewlyLicensedNVRN:

Do you know when St. Rose is going to start the next versant program? I was just graduating nursing school at the time the application had to be in and NCLEX passed so I missed the deadline. Any info would be much appreciated!!

To Anyone Employed by UMC:

This is a link that I found on indeed.com for a NEW GRAD ER position, but is for current UMC employees only: http://www.healthcarejobsite.com/job.asp?id=27865640&aff=925A0F9A-7C85-4AAD-A3D2-5E5C81892E2F&utm_source=Indeed&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=Indeed
