I took my essay last Saturday. I was an alternate last year hoping to get in this year. Just wondering who's with me?

Yeah, the time you were ready to leave the computer room is what you were supposed to write on the bottom. She told us following the directions counted for 50% of the points on the essay.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease, that is how I interpretered it too and put the time I left the room. They did stress that you have to follow all directions or they deduct points. By the way you may know but if you have MyChemeketa account, you can login into Student Records and then find Nursing Score Sheet to see how much points they give you. I checked it's not there yet, but I think it'll be there soon after they grade essay and our grades.

No problem. I was second-guessing myself about whether or not I closed out Word when I left. Such trivial things, but they could make a huge impact. I think noting the time was just for the sake of having one more item where people could lose points by not doing it. Our first set of points were listed there under Student Records, and then they removed them. Sounds like Chemeketa might be the first we hear from. A counselor there said they have the writing center critique and score the essays in addition to the nursing staff. That might take some time.

Wow, they even have Writing instructors looking them over, they're probably going to nitpick everything. I understood that we have to find out by May 13 through our Chemeketa e-mail. I wonder if they'll just give us essay score or by that time they'll score everything giving us total points. After, it'll probably by end of June that we find out if we made into the program.

Wow, that is so interesting! I didn't know the directions counted for 1/2 the points.

That's what I was thinking - they will send us our total points, but we will have no idea if we are in or not.

Hello, I couldn't find "student records" on mychemeketa. The way I understood it was that they were going to e-mail our score to our gmail account. I was nervous at the essay so I may of misunderstood them. Does anyone know how and when we will find out. I know they said before May 13th, I'm just hoping it will be sooner...like today, lol!

I keep checking my nursing score sheet to see if they post anything. :) Go into mychemeketa and click on the Student tab. Then click on Student Menu, then Student Records Menu. At the bottom you will see Nursing Score Sheet.
