Just curious.. Who pays for your continuing education and/or going to seminars/conferences? Does your school pay for advanced degrees, after being employed a certain amount of time? The reason I'm asking is because it's summer and our local college is offering a lot of classes which pertains to school nursing. I would like to enroll.
I CAN afford to pay for SOME of the classes but not all of the classes (continuing education courses) because it can get expensive as you all know. How would you approach management for reimbursement for some if not all. Thanks!

We have to get pre approval. Sometimes they will pay, sometimes not. We have to submit a reason for how this professional development will help us. I have had good luck getting stuff paid for.

Mine won't pay. And if I go during the day i have to find a sub and use personal time. (Nope.)
I did go to a free food allergy seminar hosted by local allergy docs on Saturday. It was definitely worthwhile! Learned a lot.
