i have posted several threads from his site:http://www.nativecircle.com/
but who is john two-hawks?...is he creditable?
here is some of what i gathered from his other website, considered his home site (http://www.johntwohawks.com/).
[color=#ff6600]john two-hawks is a performer in a class by himself. one of the top
american indian flute players in the world, two-hawks' ability to pour
ancient healing spirit out of his flutes is unmatched and his amazing voice
has won him international acclaim. john's gentle spirit combined with his
incredible, commanding stage presence creates a concert experience that
fans never forget. in addition to his mastery of cedar flutes and vocals,
[color=#ff6600]two-hawks plays over 20 other instruments, and is a brilliant composer
whose skill with musical arrangement is unrivaled. john two-hawks is
also highly sought afteras a lecturer, keynote speaker and teacher who
offers great insight into the profound wisdom found in the tradition of
indigenous first nations cultures, and possesses a wealth of knowledge
of both the historical and contemporary american indian experience.
i hope this answers some member questions as to who is john two-hawks. i wish to bring relevant articles to the forum from honorable sources. john is devoted in dispelling indian myth and prejudice, for it is very harmful. according to his other website where he attempts to do just that (nativecircle), he only permits others to borrow his material for teaching if it quoted in its entirety and if it is cited (http://www.nativecircle.com/issues.html ). of course, i honor his simple request. i have tremendous respect for john and what he has undertaken. i hope you do too.
