Who do I contact concerning a program to donate unused meds to clinics?

Each month I destroy meds from pt's who have been discharged, deceased or had the meds D/C'd. I know that here in Massachusetts a law was in the process of being passed to allow the donation of meds to free clinics. I have been unable to find if the law passed. How do I find out this information? I would love to be able to send these meds to someone who can use them. My boss is all for it, if I can gather the information. I want to start a pilot program for our community. Any help would be appreciated.

Talk to your pharmacy, they will have the current laws. I live in S.C. I too would like to see this happen. Good Luck
