I'm a recent CNA graduate who is looking for a job here in CA...
When I call/contact a hospital to inquire about openings, who is the best go to person?
The Director of Nursing? The Human Resources dept.?
p.s. I'm not necessarily looking for a CNA position; patient tech is fine too, is that still under the nursing dept.?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I've found that if you can get an "in" with the nurse manager or DON that is the one who ultimately can give you the green light. HR is ok but not as good as someone actually in the department, imo. Good luck.

It varies to the institution. At most medium or large-sized facilities (those over 150 beds), hiring is done by HR with input from nurse managers.
