Who do you contact in a healthcare facility to market a new program to?

Published

I have developed a "Wellness Progam" that benefits the age group of those 50 years of age and older; and that identifies risk factors to certain conditions that if diagnosed early enough (through testing specific for each condition) can change the healthcare outcomes of those receiving the screenings. MY PROBLEM is who or how would you find out in each individual institution who the contact person would be to set up an appointment with that would have the power to purchase the rights to my program to use in that particular facility?

As nurses we are given the ability to operate at many levels performing many tasks, but we often lack the information that is crucial for fulfilling our dreams simply because we don't know where to go for help...SO if anyone has any ideas regarding my question I would appreciate all your comments. Thanks a lot:)

Thanks Ted ;)

WOW!

Great going so far! Good for you! I am envious.

The initial suggestion for finding the decision maker is to ask for the Vendor Representative. I used that term when I was looking for who the facility used as the contact for contracts.

I can not help but wonder... would you be better off marketing to a hospital that does not affiliate closely with a University Hospital. Just a thought I have because I know how egos can fly about using programs that "they themselves" did not think of first.

I trust others here will comment.

The one who submitted this question was me- Hans, Ted was good enough to move my e-mail to nurse entrepreneurs which I really appreciated your response, and any other suggestions that anyone may have. As nurses we could be the largest professional group if we would be as supportive as the response you have given in your e-mail! Once again thanks for your advise.

Oh yeah.. poor formatting on my part. I had actually re-edited the post as I originally placed it on the other post you wrote to. Long story short, I should have then stated, after Thanks Ted (who is a fellow Mod) your name, Hans.

Truly Hans... I am envious of your package. I do think it will fly and just needs to be marketed.

Thanks for the compliments. There are many of "us" who are supportive of one another; We are united here on this very web. I feel VERY fortunate to this board to go to. I have relyed on in times of joy and needed support. I hope you grow with us too.

Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing. :wink2:
