Whiny classmates

Published

Hi all! I've been registered to this website for awhile but haven't posted yet. And I guess I really just need a place to vent. We are rounding up our first semester this week, which I am so excited about! But at the same time I am absolutely relieved. It's been rough, and it's not just the work. I love going to class/clinicals. I just love learning in general and have faired well this first semester grade wise. But, as much as I try to ignore and block out some of my classmates I just can't anymore. There are a select few that have done nothing but whine and complain this whole semester. They have bad attitudes about EVERYTHING we do. One of our instructors is gracious enough to give us very detailed study guides but it's never good enough. "We have to know all of this?" Well firstly she is NOT obligated to give a study AT ALL! Just be thankful you are getting one. Or "We have 3 tests that day can we move one back?" Well thanks to moving just about every test back a day here it is finals and now they are complaining that we only have until Wednesday to study for it and they are trying to get it pushed back, which quite frankly I have NEVER seen an instructor do that. Besides that, if this final gets pushed back then we will have limited time to study for the other 2 the following Monday. I'm just so tired of these people acting like everything should be handed to them! Have some work ethic and put on your big girl panties and study!

Sorry if this was too long, but I just had to get it off my chest. Am I being too harsh? Thanks to all who reads this. ?

I went through this same mess. So annoying. I hated it!

Thank goodness I'm not the only one!

Thank goodness I'm not the only one that's gone through this!

No matter where you work/go to school your gonna have "complainers". And the sad thing is, they will probably be that way as nurses too. That is their problem though, just focus on yourself and I know it sounds cliché--but just try to ignore them! Im a mom and its amazing how well I can block out certain noises/whining lol, and that's what I do when Im working a shift with a "complainer".

Its annoying, and Im sure your instructors are annoyed as well. Keep focusing on school, and good luck!!

wow sounds like you were in my class last year lol. I went through the same exact thing. People kept complaining about study guides when the teacher doesnt have to give one, complaing about having projects that helped us learn in class, complaining about having 2 exams a week when this was an excelerrated course and blah blah blah. Got on my last darn nerves thank gosh that I am done.

Thank you! I've pretty much just kept my head down this whole semester and have ignored them so far. But today was just a bad day! Thank goodness it's almost Christmas break so I can rebuild my patience lol!

It wouldn't be as bad if they wouldn't have done it from day one and if it wasn't the SAME people everyday! I mean a couple of them pretty much bully our instructor, but she does give in a lot and I think it's mainly because it's her first semester back teaching in about ten years.
