Hello everyone!
I am going to start applying for nursing school within the next month. I currently live in Southern California and I am very aware of how impacted nursing programs here in California. So this has lead me into looking into schools to possibly to out-of-state. I will be returning to California after school is finished.
Is there a website with information telling me which out-of-state license will be accepted back into California without having to do more requirements to meet California standards?
Thank you!

Most socal nursing schools are not impacted they have new cohorts every year with no waitlist. I can only think of one that is considered "impacted" with a possible waitlist.

I have no experience with this, so I have no idea, but have you tried calling CA BRN to see if they can tell you? I would think that since the approval/endorsement will have to go thru them that it makes sense to call and ask them directly.

It's not a matter of which state RN licenses are "accepted" since everyone takes the same NCLEX. OP may be referring to the nursing licensure compact . CA is not currently a member, so everyone has to go through a more complex process to become licensed by endorsement in CA. Maybe it's an easier process with some states? I do know that even compact states have additional requirements... for instance, all TX RN 'newcomers' have to complete our jurisprudence exam (to obtain a TX license) because of the unique aspects of our NPA.
