As far as I know none. Only CA offers a LVN license based upon equivalency. There are a few states that will offer a LPN license based upon military training & experience. But none offer one based upon equivalent education/experience. It states specifically in the BVNPT that the license is not likely eligible for endorsement to other US states/territories.
So I'm hoping to move to the Northeast maybe Connecticut NY, Rhode Island, or Mass. I am a newly licensed lvn non graduate of the school I attended but I did complete all my requirements. My question is can I get my licensed endorsed to any of these states since I got licensed by California based on equivalency? If so, may I hold licenses in any of the other states aforementioned as well? Thanks in Advance[/quote']I checked some BoN websites, NY & NJ require graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing,
CT requires a transcript verifying graduation & minimum of 1500 hours of theory & clinical (at least half are clinical hours) for endorsement and verification of work experience as an LPN.
Massachusetts may license someone as an LPN who withdrew from a Massachusetts board of nursing approved RN program in good standing and completed the equivalent requirements (theory & clinical in all required disciplines) but this is determined on an individual basis
. Rhode Island only license those who graduated from a nursing program.
