Hello everyone I am looking into which program to get enrolled in LPN to RN. The best and fastest way for me to do this is through an online program such as excelsior college. I've also seen things about Distance Learning systems. I was wondering if anyone had any information on these two colleges along with any others that I may not know about. I am located in Florida if that makes a difference. My situation here is that I will have had all my prerequisites done but when I finish my LPN the school in the areas application date is about a month before, therefor throwing me off a whole year to even start the RN program. Any information is good information and I will take it all into consideration. Thank you all so much in advance!

Excelsior is the College, Distance Learning Systems of Indiana and The College Network (and others) are not colleges, they are publishing companies that provide study material. The have nothing to do with Excelsior besides selling study guides. Excelsior recommends staying away from them (as do many here and all over the internet).
I actually used DLSI, and it cost me more than it should have. Wish I had know before hand. Have a friend of mine in debt to The College Network and he is not even using their stuff anymore (he liked my DSLI study guides better).

As far as Excelsior, Florida Board of Nursing doesn't have additional requirements like some States. But think carefully if you want to practice in another State. Check out this page:

Do not sign on with the following entities without being fully aware of what they are: publishing companies without any educational credentials:
Rue
The College Network
Search this section of Excelsior boards for plenty of information about these companies.
