Which Ivy Tech ASN Programs Are Year Round?

U.S.A. Indiana

I know, another question. I am still reading and taking notes, and found a thread that said the ASN program doesn't even qualify for 3/4 time the last two semesters. Someone else piped in and said their campus is year-round for the ASN program. Part of the requirement for my stipend is to be enrolled as a full time student. Supposedly they are changing that to make exceptions for programs that are less than 3/4 time. In case they don't, I am curious to see which campuses are year-round and how that affects the part vs full time enrollment status?

You can still add a fluff class to make it full time.

That is what I am planning to do too. I am going to take some Spanish classes to fulfill the financial aid requirements. This is also what they recommended at the nursing info session, well not necessarily Spanish but just other random classes. You can also save some of your co-reqs to take in the 3rd or 4th quarter as well. Good Luck!!!

i would not recommend saving co-reqs until the end, the final 2 semesters of nursing classes are REALLY hard!

i would say, if you elect to not take some nursing classes in the summer, i would squeeze them in. you might only be in class for 10 weeks instead of 16 but you will be less worried about those co-reqs and concentrate more on nursing classes.

spanish is a GREAT filler class since the Hispanic/Latino population is ever growing, this will prove useful. you might also take some medical spanish classes too, to hone in the understanding even more.

deception9999, from a financial aid standpoint you will need filler classes for the last two semesters, so what would you suggest? I am also curious to know, were you accepted in the program? If so, how far into it are you? What have you found most challenging, easy, etc?
