Hi, I am a newly qualified nurse working in the UK. I hope to come and work in Melbourne once I gain my 2 years experience, which will be January 2011. I hope to continue working on an ENT (otolarynology) or Maxillio Facial unit as I really love the speciality. However...please can I have some advice....which hospital holds the best unit(s)??
I have been looking at the Royal Melbourne and The Alfred but really need some advice into the hospitals as well. Please help! Any advice would be greatly recieved, Thanks :wink2:

Sounds like you want the Eye and Ear hospital (http://www.eyeandear.org.au/) but both the Alfred and RMH have faciomax units. For more information check the specific department listings:

Though each hospital has it's own culture, the clientele are broadly similar, as are pay and conditions. They're both close to the CBD (RMH closer) and well served by public transport.
I hope that helps and that you enjoy your move to God's Own Country
