Hi folks:
Sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum, but looked around and didn't exactly find a perfect location for this post.
I graduated about 2 years ago and have done absolutely nothing with the text books I have from school, some of them weren't even opened.
Question is, where can I sell them right away for a decent price? Amazon and other listings take a bit, was wondering if there were any websites or stores that will just straight up buy text books from ya for a decent price?
Thanks!

Have you thought of contacting some of your insructors where you graduated?
Maybe the Student Nurses Assn, group, website at your Alma Mater and/or local area?

I sell all my old books on half.com... Other students buy the books so you get a higher price. You just have to list them and wait for someone to buy it. I would put them on now bc classes are starting so they might need your books

If it's in your area, you could try to sell them to Half Price Books. They take textbooks and it makes the material more affordable and accessible to students on a budget.

I've always used half.com. I think you get the most money for your books by far. It takes about 3 weeks to get your money after you make a sale, but it's really easy to use and I've always been able to sell my books really quickly. You can look at what everyone else is selling their books for and then price yours a few $$ less, and they'll sell.

I use bigwords.com because they compare prices across all the websites, and many of them pay for shipping. so easy, and i've gotten a lot of money back by using their services. I made over 200 with one semester of textbooks, which I bought used originally!

i sold tons of my old textbooks on amazon but not some of the basic nursing texts. never know when you may need to pull out kozier and erb or fischbach's manual of lab & diagnostic tests or at least your drug book.

I would put a sign on the bulletin board at your school. Bound to get a new student who would love to save some money over the bookstore prices, especially for the never-opened books.
Oh PS say your book is kind of old or there is a new version and the old version is selling ridiculously cheap - well if you look on the lower right hand corner often there is a button where you can trade it in by sending it in to an address and get credited for an amazon giftcard that is worth more than the cheapest it is selling privately - for ex I sold one of my husband's old business books for $44 gift card credit that is good for anything in amazon when it was selling for like $22 privately. much better deal and easier because they give you a label for free shipping.
