Where are you working while in nursing school?

I know that there are people that are working in nursing school, but where are you working and what are you doing? I'm having a hard time thinking of employers that can provide full-time or near full-time hours that will be super flexible and pay a wage that'll be liveable.

I'm planning on keeping my current job, which is bartending at a club. its extremely flexible and really good money! i currently work 4 shifts with them, but i told my boss i would only be able to work on saturday nights once i start school. i will still make anywhere from 200 to 300 dollars just working that one shift, and it still leaves me with saturday day, and all day sunday to get any extra homework or studying done :)

I've always wondered... how do you get started in bartending?

the best way to get started is by waitressing or knowing someone who bartends. most places will train you themselves. i started by waitressing at panteras, and after a few months expressed my interest in learning to bartend. the next position that opened up they trained me for 3 days and then threw me in!

despite what people may think, bartending school is a WASTE of time and money. every bar is run different and regardless of whether or not you have experience they will always re-train you to do things their way.
