That a hospital job could be gotten easily. Places that are undesirable to live/small town/big town, whatever. Clean lic/no convictions. I'm over 45 and have no hospital exp. All replies appreciated. Thanks! :)

I'd sat it really depends on the specific location in Texas. Some cities and towns have booming job markets for nurses, whereas other parts of the state are glutted with too many nurses and too few jobs.

Agreed...I'm located outside of Houston. I would say, stay away from the metropolitan areas. Nurses are need outside of those areas though.

Whereas when I was in NY, whether in the city, outside of the city, in the suburbs or the boondocks, I couldn't get a job anywhere. I was a new grad of course. :sniff:

Linda,

My parents and sister are in Erie (mom is a nurse and sister a doctor at St. Vincent's). I wish we were in a position to move there!

Kansas! The hospital I work for in Salina Kansas is hiring like crazy. They hire no experience and new grads. Busy regional hospital with cardiovascular/ cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, cancer center, renal, mother/baby with level 2 NICU, the list goes on
