I have finished my prerequisite for the nursing program at Douglas College Vancouver, BC, Canada last Fall. I am waiting to get a seat. However, I have heard lots of rumors that at Douglas College clinical instructors unfairly evaluate students, and therefore; lots of students fail in this college than the other colleges such as Kwantlene university. Some say that Kwantlene College University is the better place to start nursing program. Any suggestion please ?

I've heard good things about Douglas and Kwantlen... and I've heard not so good things about both too. I think it is largely opinion based. I wouldn't take other opinions in tooooo much consideration unless they have gone to the school personally. Or they are a Nurse Manager that actually hires nurses and knows/cares about reputation. If it were me, I would go to Douglas over Kwantlen. Plus, you've already done the first year courses so you only have 3 more to go! That's huge! But it's your choice. Good luck.

No matter where you go someone will have heard something bad about it. Everyone is biased.
