I became an LPN in '08, but stayed home with my kids and didn't work until recently. When I was ready to go back to get some experience, I applied at a clinic. I kind of knew the receptionist and she told me they were hiring an LPN. I applied & got the job! Try networking. Know anyone that works in a clinic, LTC, or hospital that might put in a good word for you? I didn't think I would find anything after not working so long, and found a job with great hours! Good luck!
You will need to obtain a Texas LVN license if you wish to work in Texas. Visit the Texas Board of Nursing website to read about the steps for obtaining a license by endorsement.I have seen a lot of job postings hiring new grads in Texas. I have my license in CA. Do you know what I need to do to practice in another state? Thanks!
