Where to book a formal review NCLEx course

Published

HI everyone,

I have failed the NCLEX test six years ago and wanted to sit it again.

However, Vermont Board of Nursing requires me to send my score of a formal review NCLEX course since it has been longer than two years that I have tempted to pass the Nclex.

I am an overseas Registered Nurse from a non english speaking country.

I have no idea where to book for the review course in order to get my authority to test from the Vermont Nursing board. Or is there another board of nursing in the USA that doesnt require a review nclex course in order to being found eligible to sit the NCLEX exam. I need to Persue my dream to become a registered Nurse the US.

Pls any help will be much appreciated by me.

cheers

Clau

Hi Clau,

I assume they want you to take the formal review course since it's been quite a while since you've graduated. I've heard good things about Kaplan - I believe they have several options in terms of flexibility to attend. I think they also have online classes as well. I would double check with the VT BON to make sure of their requirements so you don't waste time. Then I assume you have to show them proof of passing the Kaplan class to be eligible to get an ATT. I don't have much experience but from my understanding, you need to be licensed in the state you graduated from. I believe the nursing programs audit graduate's degrees & send over certain information to the BON and I believe they only do this for the state they are in. If you want to get licensed in another state, I think it would get complicated because you would have to have your transcripts and documentation sent over, and then that state would have to determine if your documents meet their standards.

Good Luck!
