If you are looking for an awesome Level 1 trauma hospital, Grady Hospital. To be exact Grady is Atlanta, Ga only Level 1 Trauma Center. Grady Hospital is an internationally recongnized teaching hospital. It has an nationally acclaimed burn center, diabetes center, sickle cell center, houses Georgia Cancer center and Georgia's only Poison Control Center. Grady has an Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Med-Surg ICU, Obsectrical ICU, Neonatal ICU. Go and see for your!! I think it is a great hospital!
I saw your post and am actually in the middle of transitioning to atlanta myself. Have you found another hospital in Atlanta with a teamplayer atmosphere that you enjoy working at? I am looking to grow in an ICU and have some ICU experience but still have so much more to learn and would like to work at a hospital who takes the time to help their employees grow and learn. Any recommendations? Thanks :)

Do you have interviews with any of the hospitals and have you received additional feedback regarding best locations/hospitals for ICU? Thanks
I am actually working in atlanta as a travel nurse in their ICU's. However, pretty soon I plan to stay somewhere full time. The only interviews I have as of now are for travel positions, since that's what I'm currently doing. As far as feedback, I've heard that you will learn sooo much at Grady but they "eat their young." I also know that the only level I trauma centers in atlanta are AMC and Grady, so I honestly am still trying to make a decision. I feel torn because I definitely want that level I trauma experience, but I want a nurturing and team work atmosphere as well. (I'm being super picky!) Lol
