When to start studying TEAS

Published

I'm about to start my second semester of prereqs and I'm not too sure when I should start to study for the TEAS. Also, where can I find good study material for them?

I would say that it is never too early to start studying for the TEAS. You want to make sure you have ample time to be comfortable with the material and then time to focus on your weak points prior to taking the exam. I found the ATI official study guide to be invaluable. It is a little dry, however reviewing that material along with the practice exam(s) on the ATI website were key. I also used the ATI app so I could practice on the go. I got an 84 on my first attempt.

There are also free online quizzes through mometrix that were helpful.

I think I started studying like a month and half beforehand to give me time to slowly go through the material again and review.

There's loads of resources out there if you Google for them. There's at least two Facebook groups, loads of videos on Youtube (Crash Course, Khan Academy, math channels, etc), quite a few different study guides (I personally used the Mometrix one), phone apps, and such. There's a lot of different free online tests also (again, just Google for them), though some of them are heavier on chemistry than I found the actual test to be.
