When a drug has the opposite effect of that which was intended, what is that word? Half my unit has got a bug to find out the answer to this. Help please!

Paradoxical?
As in, Tylenol PM gives me paradoxical insomnia. (It does.)

We actually learned the term as "Idiosyncratic" rather than "Paradoxical" in our Pharm classes.
Although that was defined as an UNEXPECTED result and not specifically as an OPPOSITE result, per se.
Sorry, I'm a HUGE geek. :) And I just went thru the horrible, grueling Pharm final last week - so it's still stuck in my head. :)
