What's it like to live in Murfreesboro, TN? So far, I've heard that's it's a nice city. I think it's about a 30 min drive from Nashville. I'm willing to relocate to a few states for an RN position and TN is one of them. I'm not a city person at all and would rather live in a smaller city(Murfreesboro) and drive to work in the bigger city(Nashville), unless I can get something in Murfreesboro. I'd like to hear the good, bad and ugly. Thanks!

I've lived here since graduating high school, attended MTSU and stayed in the county.
I do work downtown, only because that's where I started before graduation. As with all metro suburbs, it has it's pluses and minuses, but if you chose wisely regarding home location and schools, you might consider staying as well.
We have it all. Close enough to the international airport, malls, good schools/colleges and healthcare. You can still walk to a farm from downtown Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee is rich with history, art, music, sports. I can't imagine living anywhere else, but I'm biased.
Good luck!
