What's it like being able to work whenever you want? I cannot wait to be a nurse. Working three days a week sounds like heaven. Although, knowing me, I'd most likely do tons of over time anyway lol. What do you like to do on your off days?
And now he knows that nursing school is brutal. It is also not easy to be accepted. My class accepted 100 out of 900 applicants. OP should be seeking advice from college counselors for the best possible chance of admission. I am hoping for his success, but it's time to stop lucid dreaming.
What's up with you? Nowhere did i say Nursing school was easy. I also said that i have All A's, will be taking all honors classes again soon, and a college level social studies course. I think i'll be able to tackle nursing school. Nursing school probably wasn't a smooth ride for you, but it DOES not mean it will be that hard for someone else. It's like every response you give me, can get answered with the same exact reply. It sounds like your trying to do your best to turn me away from Nursing and yet *gasp* I'm still here. What in the world does me lucid dreaming have to do with any of this? I can do whatever i please with my consciousness, thank you. On top of that, i can do whatever career i wish as well.

Do you realize how many people will have all As? If you are applying to a BSN program the likelihood is that everyone, much like you, will be applying with great grades. It will take a lot more to stand out than your grades.
I applied to the same BSN program as an ex friend. She got in & I didn't. That program can pick & choose whoever they want to be in their program because they get sooo many applicants with equally great grades.
Will you get in the first go around? We don't know. You honestly should talk to the counsellors at the schools you are looking into to get a better chance.

It isn't just the "All A's" i have more to offer, than my straight A's lol. Trust me. I'll get in. Have you ever met a kid who got to skip four years of high school in order to get straight to college. That was me. In middle school, i had to write essays and stuff to colleges i wanted to get accepted to. They were asking why i felt i was a best pick for their program. I gave them just that. The obnoxious kids at my middle school kept saying i wouldn't get in. I gave it my all to do just that. And guess what? I did. The college picked me, and 99 other kids out of our entire SCHOOL DISTRICT to come to their college program. The college program entailed us doing college level courses, being able to volunteer at hospitals and what not, but at the same time graduating college and high school at the age of 18. Imagine that. Receiving your hs diploma and college diploma all on the same day. I turned them down though. I figured i'd want to experience the amazing "high school" life every one speaks of. BOY was i wrong to turn that offer down lmao. But guess what, we live and we learn. Me turning down that offer only made me smarter and mentally stronger in the end. If i can get accepted to a college university while still in middle school, i can handle nursing school.
When people ask how easy Nursing school is, it's always split into two types of jerking. Group one will tell you how they breezed through school, never read and graduated tops. The second group will tell horror stories of 100 page assignments, studying for days on end and crying themselves to sleep at night. Please realize there are hundred's of nursing programs with thousands of professors. Add onto the fact that we all learn differently and there is no real line in the sand. It will be easy for some, hard for others. Figuring out which I am early on and i'll be okay.

Well everyone who is applying to nursing school believes the same exact thing you do.

And yet they still don't have my exact mindset down to the letter, along with the exact wiring of the neurons in my brain, they also have not been through what i have been through as well. I am not gonna let a few bad apples dictate my experience lol. Like i said. I got excepted into a college university during middle school, out of THOUSANDS of other kids. I was one of the hundred picked. How many people can say that? I take all honors courses, and yet i still have all A's. Most people go for the easiest courses in high school, these are most likely the same individuals who go to nursing school and have a hard time. Not saying everyone who took easy courses in high school had a hard time either. If college level social studies isn't hard for me, the class that requires me to read pages upon pages from my text book every night, isn't hard for me. I can handle what nursing school has to offer. I am not new to all of this. Once i get to college and have to read tons of material, it will not come as a shock to me like most people. I would have already been through similar experiences that have prepared me for everything my future career has to offer.

Listen. Once more. It may not have been enjoyable for you. But it will for me. No where in what i just typed, did i say i would be enjoying myself because of nursing either. In one of my other threads, i specifically say that i would be enjoying myself because college would allow me the time to do the things i couldn't do in high school. Even still, i am sure i will enjoy nursing otherwise i wouldn't be doing it. It's all about what mindset you have when doing all of this. Gosh I'm seeing so much negativity about Nursing, and yet i still feel drawn to it. I wonder why. If Nursing isn't so enjoyable, then why did you continue to push yourself to do something you honestly did not want to do? That's like me spending 14 years in school to become a Neurosurgeon only for the money. Phew. I'm glad i realized that sooner and saved myself 14 years of misery and half a million debt. It fascinates me to see how people are assuming Nursing is a one size fits all and every one who does Nursing have the EXACT same mindset. Like one person may not think nursing is an enjoyable education, but another person is bound to. No one is ever the same. You have a genius IQ? That's good. I do as well. Also am not expecting Nursing school to be easy. But just because it means it won't be easy doesn't mean i won't enjoy myself. What would be the point then? I won't just sit around moping about how hard it is, i'll get up and look at the positive in the situation i'm in.
