I am a new graduate and starting an internship in Labor and Delivery next month. Do you all have any suggestions of a good reference book for me to have while I'm on the floor?

Check out the sticky above for Recommended Reading, but here are a few that I recommend: Guidelines to Perinatal Care (AAP/ACOG), Perinatal Nursing (AWHONN), and Fetal Heart Monitoring Practices & Principles (AWHONN). Good Luck with your internship!
Thank you so much for your reply!:wink2:

intrapartum management modules is a great resource for new nurses. I have 20 years experience and really enjoyed reading it and I actually learned a few things. Good Luck

I agree with the above poster. "Intrapartum Management Modules" is a really great learning tool if you are new to L&D (and i guess even if you have 20 years experience!). I started in L&D 6 mo ago and it is one of my favorites.
AWHONN's "Perinatal Nursing" is also great as well as "The Labor Progress Handbook" by Simkin & Ancheta.
