  1. mercedesbattista, I know the feeling. All you can do to prepare for the NCLEX is study the content and do lots of questions. After you do that, I think you will do great!
  2. jablonec, I found Hurst Review to be well worth the money. Her videos are great and engaging to review content. You can log on anytime to watch the videos. With Hurst, you have to make sure you know everything in her notes. Have you looked into Suzanne's Plan? I heard that it is a great plan with high pass rates and there is no charge.
  3. Thanks! I did not use Suzanne's plan. I just did some of the quizzes and skimmed through some of the chapters in the Saunders Comprehensive Review book. I also used Kaplan and Hurst
  4. Thanks! Good luck to you!
  5. Hi everybody, I found out I passed the NCLEX-RN today! I had 75 questions, tons of Priority and Meds, some Infection control, a few Peds, and a couple of SATA, OB and Psych. I just want to wish everybody the best of luck and share my study plan. I used: 1. Kaplan: I did all the Qtrainers and QBank questions. I didn't use their course book or watch the videos. I found it so boring. My Qtrainer scores were -> QT1-58, QT2-66, QT3-54, QT4-62, QT5-64, QT67. My Qbank scores were in the 50's and 60's; my average was 62. 2. Hurst Review: I really enjoyed these videos to review content. Marlene Hurst is really good at teaching and breaking it down so you can get the big picture with all the disease processes. She also has some very helpful delegation and priority questions. 3. Saunders Comprehensive Review Book: I only did 60% of the quizzes in this book because I ran out of time. I mainly skimmed over the parts that Hurst Review didn't cover. I studied almost everyday for 5 weeks, about 5-6 hours a day. And I always made sure to read every rationale!

Some questions that might be asked are: 1. Why Labor and Delivery? 2. Where do you see yourself in five years? 3. Why did you become a nurse? 4. Why this facility? 5. Describe a stressful situation and how you handled it. 6. What are your strengths/weaknesses? And yes, you should definitely come with questions to ask. Good luck on your interview!
  7. I believe there is a $50 fee for changing your testing date with pearson vue. I graduated in Mid-December and started studying on January 5. Since I am not working, I have been able to study almost every day for 5-6 hours(Reading content and answering 100-150 questions/day). I scheduled my test date for next week. Some of my classmates only studied for a couple of weeks and passed the NCLEX. I guess it is different for everybody.
  8. Congratulations! Thank you for taking the time out to post your study materials. I am currently studying for the NCLEX and using similar products (Hurst, Kaplan). I just purchased the Saunders book and mostly doing the quizzes, reading the rationales, and skimming through some areas I am weak in. I have been doing 100-150 questions daily from Kaplan also. Also, I have the Lacharity Prioritization coming in the mail soon. The questions I have are: With Kaplan: Did you watch all the content videos? Review of questions videos? Did you use the RN course book that came with Kaplan?
  9. Thank you so much for your reply!:wink2:
  10. I am a new graduate and starting an internship in Labor and Delivery next month. Do you all have any suggestions of a good reference book for me to have while I'm on the floor?
