if i dont pass my teas i was going to go for cna but whats are the difrrent careers and what do you do the basic or overall of the job description please

A CNA is a Certified Nurses Aide we help patients in nursing home, hospitals, assisted living and at home services, we help them preform ADLs Activities of Daily Living such as bed baths, toileting, feeding dressing, some times we aide in some treatments such as oniments, oxygen, some are even trained to aide with blood sugars and medications especialy in home care settings, and they can also aide the nurse in treatments and take vital signs.

A MA is a Medical Assistant, they are pretty much limited to doctors offices, they addminister vaccines, ppds, they are also trained in phlebotamy meaning they can draw blood, they also take vital signs and some even do simple blood and urine tests normally done within the doctors office.

LVN is the same as LPN LVN is a Licenced Vocational Nurse and an LPN is a Licenced Professional Nurse, they pretty much do the same things that an RN does but they have had less training, they also have to be under the suppervision of an RN in most states.

LPN stands for Licensed Practical Nurse. We're technically not supposed to call someone a professional unless they've had at least a bachelor's degree in their field. Nuance, I know.

CNA do the dirty work of personal care. It's physically painful and the pay is lousy for what we do. But it's ok.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.
