Hello all
I'm practically a new nurse since I just graduated with my bachelor in nursing. As ADN nurse I have been working for almost 2 years at a big rehabilitation hospital where I have been exposed to spinal cord injury TBI, hip and knees replacement, liver transplant. Our hospital is like an acute care facility, because we received pt. That need need a lot of acute care. Now that I have my bachelor I want to move at an acute care facility. I applied for a med surg, med surg tele and a transplant tele floor. I will like a good advice for which one to go for since they all already call me back and I hade a phone interview already with 2 of them.
I will really appreciate a quick feedback because this is moving more than I expected it to be
Thanks

I would consider your long term goals in order to decide where to go next. There maybe no need to work on a med-surg floor and I would avoid it if possible. You have many options with a BS degree and I would explore those first for a long term position. You didn't say why you want to leave your current position, maybe you can get a promotion there. If you really want to experience acute med-surg I would also advise you to keep looking/considering other options (outside of the hospital) while working there, you don't want to stay in acute care for your entire career, That being said, if you have a choice between med-surg or transplant, I would pick transplant because you will learn much more there, (med-surg plus transplant). Good luck to you!!
