What will you do if they change the Ratios

So everyone is talking about the vote in California to raise the nursing ratios. I have a feeling it is going to pass, especially in this economy. The hospital my friend is working for is obviously speculating it will happen because they are already making plans for how they will raise the ratios for if this happens. I bet you anything that they will not even give us our LVNs or aids back (for those of you not in California, when the ratios were lowered most hospitals got rid of LVNs and CNAs). My friend says that if it passes she is going to go into home health and leave the hospital. I was just wondering what other nurses will do if this passes.

I think that this is something that a hospital has come up with to intimidate, confuse, & divide nurses.

Or something that some confused and/or paranoid nurse came up.
