What type of drug tests do CNAs get?

I ask because I was at a New Years Eve party last night and was around a few people who were smoking a lot, and most likely inhaled a lot of smoke just through secondhand. I'm not a pot smoker myself, but I'm very nervous about it now, I don't want to fail just because my friends smoke! lol

Are you sent to a lab to get tested or do you get a pee stick? I've heard that the pee stick is easier to pass. Sorry if this is inappropriate, I'm just very nervous about it and don't want any potential employers thinking I'm a druggie for obvious reasons.

It differs by employer... You wouldn't fail either if you only second hand smoked.

You won't fail by inhaling second-hand pot smoke. You will fail if you smoked it yourself.

It varies by each employer what they test for. Most do a 5 or 10 panel urine test (10 being more common in healthcare). Both tests include pot. As far as if you are sent to a lab, some places send you to an outside lab. Some big organizations (like a hospital) do the test in house at employee health. It all depends. If you smoked yourself you'll probably be positive. If it was second hand, I wouldn't worry. Good luck :)

There is a cut off limit to allow for instances like the one you described. You'll be fine if you didn't smoke it. Usually a 10 panel urine test.
