Its a long story but stick with me.

First some background information.

It all started last semester, my Pharmacology class. Everyone struggled the entire way through. Our teacher just wasn't good. Don't get me wrong she is very very nice. Its just that some people aren't meant to be teachers. They know theie stuff, they just cant teach other people about it. That's her. We all complained to the head of the program. Every single person in my class wrote letters to the head saying how we need help and everyone is on the verge of failing. We gave her horrible ratings on the teacher evaluation. Well around the last 4 tests of the semester when everyone was on the verge of failing she gave 1 open book test, 1 take home test, 1 group test, and one open note test. Needless to say no one failed her class. I will be honest and say the ONLY reason i passed is because of all the "extra help" on tests.

Now this semester, same teacher, Med-Surg I.

First test of the semester - everyone failed except 2 or 3 people. ( and they only barely pass. )

Second test of the semester - Everyone failed except 2 or 3. ( again only barely passing. )

We complain again all throughout the semester.

Now here it is the very end of this semester 2 class periods left until the semester is over. They fire her!

They give us the test we are supposed to have that day but they dont give the one she had made they give us a random test put together probably 10 years ago that obviously doesnt even go with our book.

& the best part They are making up our final! Not giving us the one she made. How do they know what she went over with us in class this whole semester?

They dont! So now im freaking out, who knows what could be on this final!

Sounds like a classic case of "Be careful what you ask for"! Gah, how scary! Study study study!

Ouch.

You would think they would at least wait until the end of the semester to terminate her.

Be diligent in your studying. If you have a solid knowledge of the concepts, hopefully you will be able to decipher the test questions and do well.

Wishing for the best.

I had a similar problem our med-surg prof was terrible but instead of failing everyone she bell-curved all our marks...med-surg is a very detailed course and our prof was just not cutting it so I just read the textbook for all the topics she covered in class. I know this seems like a lot of work and is not very helpful but this is really the only thing that work for me and my classmates. Good luck:)
